There are challenges and there are CHALLENGES. In 2024 there were 415 registrated riders that lined up to finish this year‘s Veneto Trail and fought for a well deserved finisher plate.

In 2024 we rode the 11th edition of the bikepacker’s monument, the Tuscany Trail. What great vibes there were on spot, how beautiful it was!

Amongst all the off-road cycling events within the area, the Veneto Trail definitly stands out. An absolute breathtaking route, which was very obviously setup by a very passionate cyclist for like-minded passionate cyclists. While doing another company outing and physically riding the Trail for the second time in 2022, with every pedal stroke we could actually feel the dedication again and again that went into this project.

It’s probably one of most fascinating movies we have released so far: Gaëlle Bojko riding Lake Baikal at -30° Celsius.. - all self-filmed and self-edited. After winning the bikepacking.com award back in 2021, Portland’s renowned “Filmed By Bike” festival, such as the french “Escape” festival decided to take Gaëlle’s masterpiece into their shortlist aswell.

This one is a highly recommended video-series for everyone who is into it, deep into it. Our dear friend Fish rode the “Silk Road Mountain Race” back in 2018, actually the very 1st edition of the race that has got so much attention in the meantime. Fish met several riders along the way and reported from one of the hardest editions of the race ever. Take a click - have a watch!

Despite his abrupt death in August 2021, longtime bike tourer Iohan Gueorguiev from Bulgaria / Canada is still an inspiration to many bikepackers out there. And will probably be forever, as he has ever been to Federico Cabrera. Shocked by the loss Fede decided to tribute a ride to him, 6 months after the notification of Iohan’s passing had made its round last year Fede hit the road.

In May 2022 we cycled and enjoyed the anual Tucany Trail event. With us 3.000 starters, the trail’s record and at the same time it became the world’s biggest bikepacking event. With us our family member Andy Cox - builder of the European Divide Trail - and rather on the road all alone, all the time. Read his thoughts about this year’s Tuscany Trail here.

The Dolomites are undoubtedly one of the most spectacular areas of the Alps. Unbelievably beautiful and rocky mountaintops are sparkled along the route, paired with tremendous views and fascinating trails that will probably stay in your mind forever.

Our personal highlites in 2021 can probably be counted on five fingers - but the The Dirty Boar Gravel Ride in the High Fens of Belgium has definitly been one of them. 2021 was a difficult year for events, if they happened at all. The open wideness of the Italian Tuscany, in combination with a strict Corona policy at registration, allowed the Trail to happen under pretty save conditions though. Take a click at the official aftermovie!

What an honour, we never had one of our movies ever been picked by the BFF! So this is actually a little milestone in the brand’s history thanks to Matty, Clare and: Joel Cristof who produced “Lost Captures” from what Matty & Clare brought home.

When it comes to the different disciplines of bicycle racing, it is Cyclocross in particular that has fascinated us over the last years. In 2021, we teamed up with the cycling association NRW for the fourth time and combined 8 Cyclocross races to a local, small Cyclocross Cup: the “BOMBTRACK NRW-CROSS-CUP”.

For the first time, outdoor adventure specialists Columbia Sportswear and off- / any-road bicycle manufacturer Bombtrack Bicycle Co. unite to create a range of technical shirts for riding over gravel, mud, and everything in between.

The European Divide Trail is a continent spanning collection of trails linking the far edges of Europe together. On its way following off road tracks and trails, traffic free cycle routes and small bits of single track, with various minor roads along the way.

Gaëlle Bojko’s love of riding through snowy landscapes led her to push and pedal her loaded bike across Siberia’s Lake Baikal in the dead of winter.

Lost Captures follows Matty and Clare bikepacking through Norway, from Bergen, as they re-trace the tracks of Matty's Grandfather, Bob, who toured Scandinavia by bike in the 1950s.

Federico Cabrera left his career in Foreign Trade to follow his passion for photography. So far Fede had been on the road for 6 years with his little personal project called "Their Only Portrait", riding more than 30.000 kilometers, donating 500+ printed portraits, and 350 solar lamps & water filters through South America.

How is it racing a Cyclocross World Cup, and how is it possible to make it to the starting line of the world’s best Cyclocrosser at all? We accompanied Gosse to the UCI World Cup in Bern (CH) and tried to find out what it is all about.

In 2019 Gaëlle and her ARISE TOUR bike headed out for an staggering loop around Europe. From the heat of southern Spain to the frozen coast of Scandinavia, while traversing the Carpathians somewhere in the middle, home to brown bears and wolves.

Second City Divide is a bike-packing route between Glasgow and Manchester; two proud Second Cities linked by, if you look carefully, some of the UK'S best all-road riding.

Whilst the US is known for its endless trails of Hero Gravel, the UK is probably better known for its "briddleways" and - of course - its complimentary mud. Kielder Forest in the North East of the UK is the exception though.

The event is mostly about meeting like minded bike enthusiasts from all over Europe and enjoying the beautiful landscape you might not have seen yet, and an experience you won’t forget.

Our anual Groundwork event is an opportunity for everyone involved in Bombtrack to come together and catch-up, be that the employees, the global team of riders, shops, distributors and various befriend media contributors.

In 2017, Marc Maurer flew to Dushanbe, Tajikistan, and cycled a meandering path to the northeast toward Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, riding dirt roads through vast swaths of both countries along the way.

The adventuring academic. From one city to the next, trainee architect Gaëlle Bojko and her Arise bike are spending the year soaking up cycling culture across Europe. "Heading East" is about Gaëlle's stage heading through Turkey towards the Georgian boarder.

The Hope 1000 is an unsupported cylce-event traversing the Swiss Alpes, following the traditional bikepacking events' guidelines and the code of honour apply.

In September 2017 the second edition of our anual GROUNDWORK event took place. This time we swapped rural France for something a little more closer to home, actually so close to home it was only a stone’s throw from our office in Cologne.

Tobias “Tobsen” Cordes is an enthusiastic person through-and-through: most well known for playing the bass in German based band “Seeed”. We listened attentively the moment he began telling us about the current increasing in the number of people who are not taking huge amounts of time to go fishing in faraway places - but rather prefer to spend their time peacefully fishing in the city.

The Haute Route is the first global series of multi-day cycling events for amateurs. Whether it’s in Colorado’s Rockies, the French Alps, Pyrenees or Italian Dolomites, these are the highest, toughest and most prestigious amateur cycling events in the world.

Taking in some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery, the HT550 is an unsupported race the pushes riders to the limit due to it's unrivalled terrain.
