Meet Franzi & Jona
Franzi and Jona were born in the mid-eighties and grew up in the north-western part of Germany. Franzi (a professional photographer) and Jona (carpenter) both spontaneously quit their jobs in 2012 and started a 7-year long journey around the globe.
“Crossing continents, living off the bike and exploring remote regions of the world."
After starting to explore the world by foot (New Zealand, India, Nepal) and getting increasingly frustrated by the slower pace they switched to bikes and continued to travel the area from Iran to Mangolia on two wheels. Following this, they moved to Canada for work and saving some money, then continued their cycling trip from Alaska down to Patagonia. Their stories are fascinating to follow, their photography tremendous and their tips and advices for inexperienced bikepacking are invaluable.
After exploring Europe between 2018 and 2020, they have now settled down in the south of Germany, with the alps in their backyard. Whenever they have time, they take their bikes on overnighters or week-long trips to explore the mountains.
