BOMBTRACK AT RAD RACE’S “LAST MAN STANDING”, BERLIN

… we were cheering the hell out of us while standing next to the track of RAD RACE‘s „Last Man Standing“ fixed crit’s season kick-off in March. It was huge joy to see FISH riding zig-zagging the go-cart track: clever tactics, acceleration, fitness and especially bike handling skills – all paired, and so needed at this race format. Quiet similar but with even more acceleration and speed on short straights paired with the needed aggression in their duels it was “only” Augusto Reati (2nd, Italy) and Addison Zawada (1st, USA) who were absolutely unbeatable that night – they rode outstanding…

Bombtrack supports “The Dirty Boar”

(click the pic to watch the clip!)

We are supporting “The Dirty Boar”, a very nice Gravelride next to our doors in the boardering region of Germany and Belgium on September, the 9th. A rough and quiet remote area which is not on the radar of many, but it offers an incredible beautiful landscape with breathtaking views, tiny old villages, no cars but some dirty boars on the way and: tons of premium Gravelroads! So if you are open for a weekend-trip to “Les Haute Fagnes” in Belgium with touching the German “Eifel” area: head over to www.dirtyboar.be and follow them on their channels. Some of our teamriders will attend too, and as it is not a race but a ride there will be some time to chat to the guys and share experiences. Ah, we will ride too and are already looking forward,.. see you there?

AT THE TORINO-NICE RALLY

The “Torino – Nice Rally” is not a race, it is rather food for your soul: an adventure with friends and a memorable experience. 700km on old military Cols and scenic historical trade routes leading all the way from the western Italian Alpes down to the coast of southern France. In 2016 our ambassador Joachim Rosenlund took part in the rally (on his HOOK EXT) and experienced some truly incredible unsupported bikepacking. The backdrop of Europe’s highest mountains never seas to take our breath away, but we couldn’t prepare ourselves for quite how spectacular his journey would be.

As an event in-between all Joachim’s annual long-distance competitions the “Torino – Nice Rally” seemed to be the perfect ‘recovery’ ride, without pressure, and ‘only’ 20,000m of elevation. The rally made such an impression on him that he’s already signed up for it again later this year….to see what exactly brought him back for a repeat visit check out the video, and if you’re tempted to ride it yourself be sure to say ”Hi” to him in Turin.

GROUNDWORK 2016

…how are all of our bikes developed? Well an important part of this is an intensive exchange between us and our team riders, friends and family. Click the pic below to experience our recent GROUNDWORK meeting in Gressoux (France), 4 days just riding and talking bikes. Can you think of anything better?” (click the pic)

STRAIGHT FROM THE FISHCAM

Our rider Stefan “Fish” Vis got 16th at this year’s RAD RACEs Fixed42 World Championchips in Berlin – a brilliant result, taking into consideration not having helping teamriders in the back. See Fish’s last 90seconds before crossing the finishing line below. 500 starters were competing that day, racing this 42km round course through the main roads of Berlin with an average of slightly more than 45 km/h in the men’s race, incredible. (up to position #43 they actually all had an average of +/- 45km/h!).
