1900KM, 10 DAYS, 9 RIDERS, 1 GEAR – united by the common love for fast cycling with one fixed gear only, the Hardbrakers from Hamburg / Germany hit the road yearly since 2012 for a mostly two-week “Grandtour”. Driven by wanderlust and longing for adventure they went from Lisbon to Marrakesh in 2014. 1.900 km in 10 days on track bikes. Limits were tested and overcome. Countless tires were changed. The crew sweated in the desert sun and killed mile after mile. A sense of freedom. Regardless if in the desert, mountains, cities, on dirt roads or highways: one gear fits all! Their full length documentary is out know, for a small contribution to their next grandtour such as 1/4 for a social bike-purpose you can watch their road trip story.
The guys of the Rad Pack were on their way round a loop of Iceland, and with them are no less than 8 of our gravel and CX bikes. “Tour D’Iceland” – the full movie now online. Take a click!
„I don’t usually keep a record of these things, but according to what i was told, i cycled about 4.250 kilometres, climbed 49.000 meters of elevation and had an average speed of something like 24 km/h over a period of 13 days and 10 hours which makes 326 km per day. But i prefer bicycles to math“.
