In September 2017 the second edition of our anual GROUNDWORK event took place. This time we swapped rural France for something a little more closer to home, actually so close to home it was only a stone’s throw from our office in Cologne.

The half-timbered and former manor house named „Landgut Breibach“ was our base for heading out into the surrounding landscape we know so well. When originally conceiving our GROUNDWORK event for the first time, our intention was to keep the riding as the focal point, and spread over a few days so we can catch up, talking bikes with like-minded friends consisting of teamriders, freelancing contributors, distributors, long time supporting shops and befriended media.

When we draw upon the experience of our team riders in the development of new and existing models, the exchanges can often be intense and focused on the task in hand, we thought why not establish an annual gathering, as kind of “thank you” for those that helped and are still helping to build the brand to what it is today. From this the idea developed into extending the invitations wider to those connected with the brand, giving everybody the chance to try out the latest models. In the meanwhile GROUNDWORK has become a melting pot for creative brainstorming from all perpectives, and an important component for our model development process – but at the same time it’s the first point in the year our latest range of bikes are presented for a hands-on experience.
